Browning String Trio

Members of the Browning String Trio are Shi-Hwa Wang, violin; Michael Palumbo, viola; and Viktor Uzur, cello. They will perform “String Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3” by Ludwig van Beethoven and “Serenade in C Major, op. 10” for string trio by the Hungarian composer Ernst von Dohnányi.

Even though music for string trios does not have as wide opus as for the string quartets, it carries a special value for the chamber music lovers. Dohnányi and Beethoven show mastery in writing for three instruments, often making the group sound like a string quartet.
