Benefits of Hemp Infusion
What is hemp?
Part of the Cannabaceae family, hemp or hemp Sativa is a plant native to Central Asia. It is among the first plants cultivated by man.
Hemp is a robust plant with fast growth reaching an average of 3 meters in only 5 months. It is very resistant to pests and weeds. An ecological plant, hemp requires little maintenance, consumes little water, can be cultivated without pesticides, and allows the land to be prepared for other crops.
Everything in hemp is used. For example, its seeds are eaten and are a source of protein, fiber, essential fatty acids, minerals, and vitamins. The stalks are used to make clothes (hemp fabric has the particularity of aging and becoming more beautiful over time), ropes, and paper. Hemp seed oil is used in cosmetics for its moisturizing properties. In the building industry, hemp wool is a very effective natural insulator. It keeps the heat in winter and the coolness in summer.
The cultivation of hemp is authorized in France but is strictly regulated by law. It must be registered with the prefecture and the plant must have a maximum THC content of 0.2%. Moreover, the cultivator must use seeds registered in the French catalog of the hemp seeds.
The benefits of hemp infusions
Hemp contains small quantities of cannabinoids, including cannabidiol. Cannabidiol can be consumed in several forms: oils, capsules, and infusions. Consumption in the form of infusion was already practiced in China more than 2,000 years before our era. It allows taking advantage of the numerous benefits of CBD or cannabidiol such as its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, anti-emetic, and anxiolytic effects. The infusion allows a healthy use of hemp, the molecules of the plant being preserved in their normal state and not being degraded.
The organic hemp infusions proposed by the Naturicious brand are made in strict compliance with French law. They are prepared from hemp leaves and do not contain THC. Nutritious adds other plants such as tea, lemongrass, moringa, or maca root to its infusions to improve the taste and to bring more benefits. Green mate is known for its anti-fatigue properties, lemongrass for its antispasmodic and calming properties while moringa is considered a superfood. The hemp infusions of the Naturicious brand contain neither gluten, soya, nor milk.
The hemp infusion allows the extraction of the active ingredients of the plant. The leaves are plunged into boiling water and left to infuse for a few minutes. The resulting tea contains CBD and can be consumed as such. To take full advantage of the benefits of CBD, it is essential to choose organic hemp grown in Europe, guaranteeing quality. It is recommended to add a little fat to the infusion (coconut, almond, hazelnut …). The polyunsaturated fatty acids will capture the CBD and facilitate its assimilation by the body.
A comforting hot drink, the hemp infusion allows taking advantage of all the virtues of the CBD. The latter is known for its soothing effects. CBD is used in particular to fight against stress, anxiety, or depression. Thanks to the relaxing effect of CBD, hemp infusion treats insomnia and improves the quality of life of people suffering from this problem. CBD also helps to relieve pain related to chronic diseases such as fibromyalgia or multiple sclerosis.
Focus on CBD
CBD is to be distinguished from THC which is an illegal psychotropic drug in many countries, including France. CBD does not produce a high like THC. CBD or cannabidiol is a molecule contained in hemp. Nonpsychoactive, CBD is however able to exert physiological effects on the body via the endocannabinoid system. Cannabidiol is one of the cannabinoids found in hemp Sativa according to Hemponix.
Cannabidiol is not psychotropic and is not addictive. It was in 1940 that this molecule was isolated for the first time. Cannabidiol is insoluble in water but soluble in fat.
